Smartphones Vs Digital Cameras

Smartphones from HTC and Apple are eating the sales of digital cameras, according to the recent survey conducted on camera market’s sales record.

Sony, which had always had rocking deals, has seen weakest demand last year and even Nokia’s cameras are not doing well in terms of sales, since 2009 after the arrival of smartphones.



Camera shipments are speculated to fall 4.3% this year to 115.2 million units, which are pretty less by the data compiled by HIS.

The latest smartphone by Apple (iPhone 4S) captures the photos with 60% more accuracy than last year model, while HTC makes phones as per Google’s Android operating system. It is expected that iPhone 4S will come to top the line, beating other smartphones and digital cameras.
